<description>On 29 August 2008 Symphony announced that Grupo Bimbo had adopted d2w, starting in Mexico City in bread bags but stating that d2w would be rolled out in all of their products and into the rest of Mexico and Latin America over the coming months. Grupo Bimbo has net sales of $6bn! This is a major contract win and yet Symphony&#039;s share price has hardly moved in response. This may have something to do with the timing of the annoucement - 29 August and the poor state of the markets. The Grupo Bimbo win adds to the impressive contract wins this year including Tiger Brands in South Africa and as Tom Bulford states above the major developments in the UAE. India also looks exciting.

Symphony also has another IP - microwave pryolysis, which it has just received £1.2m government grant for and has teamed up with some impressive partners including Avon Rubber plc. Whilst this product is a longer way off being commercially proven compared to d2w, it does diversify the company away from a single product and creates a pipeline for what is turning into an &#039;environmental technology company&#039;.

Tom - I look forward to your indepth article in RHPS - it would be good to have you as a fellow shareholder.
