Why are they going to wait until all these people actually go into foreclosure process before they act. They need to go now and re-write these mortages to a fixed, reasonable rate and prevent the need for foreclosure if there is any hope to stop this cycle. Many with the notes are able to afford payments on a reasonably fixed rate, obviously some still will not but what about all those that can be avoided if the notes are renegotiated to avoid the foreclosure??
