I can't believe that the Grassley "investigation" has not been brought to a conclusion yet. It seems apparent that Grassley didn't find the information he thought he would. There are more important issues that the Senator and other congressmen should be spending their time on these days. As well as the fact that Copeland is right in his stand and thank goodness he realized the bigger picture from the beginning. We will all be thankful that there aren't precedents made that will affect ALL of us.

Ready - you are one of the few I have heard with this take on the recent moves by Grassley's camp. I have to agree with you. Grassley is looking DESPERATE these days. I think I would have to go ahead and say I screwed up and bring this thing to an end. Copeland obviously isn't going to back down.

Good comment Michelle. It is true that the Grassley camp has lost its steam. I have observed this situation for a while now. I think Grassley's mistakes from the beginning have made this situation a bigger media affair than necessary. The most recent smear campaign of Nepotism and bringing Hammond into it clearly screams he has lost any "evidence" he thought he had.

Grassley's investigation has brought much of this attention to this line of ministries. Whether you support these ministries or not, Copeland's argument carries much weight and he is going to fight until the end. Besides the fact that Grassley could have already had the information he wanted through an IRS investigation. As far as people giving to these organizations, that is their choice and right. Personally, I am not a follower of them, but I do recognize how the decision in this case will affect all of us - not just the church organizations.
