It was another bad day for the precious metals Friday as gold, silver, and platinum were all down. Gold traded fairly flat for most of the day, dipping briefly below $905/oz. at the start of NYMEX trading, but recovered shortly thereafter. Gold finished down $3.60, at $909.70/oz. For the week, gold lost 2%.

Gold was slightly higher until the New York open, trading between $925 and $930, but took off from there, rising to a peak of $946 just after noon, then pulled back for the rest of the day, finishing at $939.70/oz., up $13.80. Overnight, gold has fallen off.
