I was captivated by the Wall Street Journal headline “Bearish Big Investors Catch Gold Bug” by Gregory Zuckerman, because I don’t ever expect to see anything favorable about gold in the WSJ…

It’s early in the morning in Delray Beach, Florida, and you know what I did?  I made a cup of Jamaican Blue Mountain coffee (since I’m boycotting any unnecessary spending on pricey take-out coffees) and took a look at one of my favorite currencies in the universe – the U.S. dollar.

Currencies under dollar pressure …  How strong can yen get? …  TARP…  ECB rate questions… And Now… Today’s Pfennig!

Gaza bombing has dollar on the run…  More proof we’re turning Japanese…  Adding to the debt burden…  What will deflation do for the dollar? And Now… Today’s Pfennig!

In forex trading, there has to be a winner for every loser. John Crooks says the US dollar is set to be “king of the hill” in 2009. He says forex traders don’t care about the damage being done to the US economy. The greenback has become a “safe haven” for investors rushing into cash. And that trend isn’t about to change anytime soon.

The dollar rallies big time!  A dollar conspiracy?  Bailing out the automakers?  Weathering the storm in N.Z.?
