Dollar falls as US consumers become more positive…GDP to be reported this morning…European confidence increases…Mexican peso recovers…And Now… Today’s Pfennig!

Finally…we’re back in London. We left at the beginning of April…went to San Diego and Los Angeles…then to Buenos Aires and Salta…then to Paris for a few days.. and now we’re back. London is cold and rainy…just like we left it. Not exactly home…but it will do. But what’s this? The City seems to be winding down. All those hot shots in the financial sector aren’t so hot any more.

Starting around 2:00 p.m. in Hong Kong on Wednesday afternoon [1:00 a.m. Eastern Time], and following the sun as the London and New York bullion markets opened and closed, gold managed to add about $11 by 11:00 a.m. in Hong Kong…about 20 hours later on Thursday morning. Silver, following much the same pattern as gold, added 47 cents during the same period of time.

Invest in the nation’s essential goods and services and your money will be protected against inflation and will still be working towards making you rich. This is a very scary period of time for investors. Just when they think they have the market figured out, it turns out to be a head fake and the market changes track.
