In the energy market Monday, crude for June delivery spiked higher, shooting to yet another record intraday high of $119.93 before easing to close at $118.75/barrel, up 23 cents. June reformulated gasoline fell 2.3 cents, to $3.0307/gallon.

Cautious trading seen ahead of Fed. Gold stayed almost entirely within a tight $5 range from the far East straight through the New York session on Monday, finishing at $893.20, up $8.20 from Friday. Overnight, gold has fallen off.

In the energy market Wednesday, crude for June delivery plummeted, closing at $116.06/barrel, down $2.24. June reformulated gasoline lost 3.31 cents, to $3.0093/gallon.

In the energy market Wednesday, crude for June delivery debuted as the front-month contract by rising slightly to close at $118.30/barrel, up 23 cents. May reformulated gasoline gained 3.23 cents, solidifying its place above $3 at $3.0424/gallon.

In the energy market Thursday, crude for May delivery edged slightly lower, closing at $114.86/barrel, down just 7 cents. May reformulated gasoline gained 1.88 cents, to $2.9578/gallon.
