The buying of equities continued during Thursday’s session on the Canadian Markets with gains seen across the board. For the tale of the tape, the TSX Exchange surged 3.39%, while the TSX Gold Index added 3.2% and the TSX Venture Exchange, Canada’s largest junior exploration bourse, gained 2.37% with the advancers beating out the decliners by a 392 to 319 margin on 119 million shares traded.

Poor employment data out of both the United States and Canada failed to stymie investor sentiment as the Canadian markets rallied for a third straight day during Friday trading. For the tale of the tape, the TSX Exchange surged 1.66%, while the TSX Gold Index rallied 1.4% and the TSX Venture Exchange, Canada’s largest junior exploration bourse, added 1.24% with the advancing issuers edging out the decliners by a 390 to 315 margin on 133 million shares traded.

The bulls and the bears battled hard for supremacy throughout Tuesday trading on the Canadian Markets with the bulls eventually coming out on top of the big board and the bears winning the day once again over on the junior bourse. For the tale of the tape, the TSX Exchange added 0.46%, while the TSX Gold Index dropped 0.8% and the TSX Venture Exchange, Canada’s largest junior exploration bourse, lost 4.52% with the declining issuers outpacing the advancers by a 543 to 290 margin on volume of 169 million shares traded.
