U.S. stock index futures pointed to a weak open on Friday with investors set to take profits after a gain of more than 2 percent in the previous session.

U.S. stocks gained today after software maker Oracle’s (NASDAQ: ORCL) results beat expectations and durable goods orders jumped unexpectedly, giving more hope that the economy is rebounding.

U.S. stocks rose on Thursday, underpinned by a rebound in technology shares, while renewed concerns about the economy boosted defensive stocks.
