Base Metals Sharply Higher

The base metals were all sharply higher on Friday. Copper rose from the late pre-dawn hours straight through to afternoon, only just coming off its intraday high to finish at $1.4273/lb., up 14¼ cents from Tuesday.

Industrial Metals Mixed

The base metals were mixed on Tuesday. Copper fell in the pre-dawn hours, then rallied through the New York session but not quite enough as it finished at $1.2851/lb., down 2 2/3 cents.
