My mother would have been dead a long time ago, if it were not for the almost free care she got at county hospital. Imagine if we said that access to police protection or to fire rescue were not a right, because they need the most up to date equipment, that only people who could afford to buy insurance or whose employers could offer insurance could be sure that the police would come when needed. It&#039;s one thing to look at it as a detached observer, it&#039;s another thing when it&#039;s your life or the life of someone you love, that&#039;s at stake.</description>
